Journal Bearings
Any type of journal bearing can be manufactured,
utilising our centrifugal casting process. K C Engineering has
the expertise and experience to manufacture and repair the following
types of journal bearings:
- Cylindrical bore
- Offset bore profile
- "Lemon" Bore Profile
- Tri-lobed bore profile
- 4-lobed bore profile
- High precision tilting journal pad assemblies
for turbo-machinery
- Guide bearing journal pads for hydro-turbines
As required, thermocouple or RTD sensors can
be supplied fitted.
Backing Materials
Carbon Steels, Cast Iron, Brass, Bronze,
Stainless Steel
Lining Materials:
Tin based whitemetal alloys, lead based
whitemetal alloys, pure lead.
Lead times:
Typical lead time for manufacture up to
Ø150mm bore: 4-5 weeks
Typical lead time for repair: 2-4 weeks
