Roll Neck Bushes
K C Engineering repairs and manufactures roll neck bushes for the steel rolling mill industries. We have the capacity to centrifugally cast and machine 1,800mm diameter bushes and a current capacity for 100 bushes per year.

In emergencies our quick turn-around service can repair two bushes in 5 working days from receipt of goods and as standard we offer a two week cycle time on repairs and 3 week cycle time for manufacture (after we have received steel blanks from our suppliers - an estimated 6 weeks).

• All bushes are tested to ISO 4386-1 Ultrasonic Inspection
• Material certification is provided for the steel backing for new items
• Whitemetal certification is provided with all bushes
• Dimensional Inspection reports are shipped with the bushes

Extend bush life

K C Engineering has the experience and technical knowledge required to repair roll neck bushes to match OEM standards. However, the service offered by K C Engineering will extend the life of bush past the OEM recommendations - because the OEM is interested in selling users new products. Within pre-defined limits each bush is inspected to ensure it is suitable for repair and during processing if the bush diameters and/or whitemetal thickness exceed limits, the bush will be scrapped and our customer informed, ensuring no risks are ever taken on valuable production time for our customers.
